We had a great turnout at our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, and it was heartening to see so many families enjoying the beautiful, albeit windy, day. We would like to extend our gratitude to Valaree Cavazos, our newest management team member, for organizing the event. This was a team effort, and we want to thank our entire management team and all the homeowners who participated in setting up and taking everything down. Without everyone’s contribution, we could not have made this event possible. A big thank you to AAA Landscape for the immense help they provided, as well as Boy Scouts Troop 219.

Construction for the splash pad tank replacement at Windmill pool has been finished, and the community center pool is scheduled to open May 17^th, which is an exciting time for everyone as the summer officially kicks off in Continental Ranch. It is also important to keep in mind that our semi-annual assessments are due May 1^st. Please ensure that you are up to date with your payments to avoid any delinquency status. If you are having difficulty making your payments, please do not hesitate to let the management office know so that we can work together to find a possible solution. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I continue to receive numerous complaints from homeowners about dog owners not being responsible for picking up after their pets. This is not limited to just one area of Continental Ranch, but throughout our community. Please be considerate of your neighbors and don’t wait for the poop fairy to appear. It is your responsibility to pick up after your pet and keep our community clean and safe.

Dear Residents, 

I am happy to announce that the Windmill Park pool opened on March 1^st! I hope you all have a great pool season and enjoy the warmer weather.

The splash pad tank replacement project began over the winter, with the new pre-cast concrete tank going into production on November 27. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our control, there have been a few delays. We appreciate your patience as we do all we can to get this project completed. Meanwhile, we look forward to seeing you enjoy the pool and spa!

On March 30^th, we have the Easter Egg Hunt event, a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together and have fun. We encourage everyone to volunteer and help as it takes many people to make it a success, especially setting up the event the day before. If you have some free time, please call the office and offer your services. Also, be sure to get wristbands for the kids before the event to avoid waiting in line. This event promotes unity within our community and includes activities for residents of all ages.

Spring is a beautiful season that brings us lovely flowers and pleasant weather. However, it also comes with an unwelcome guest: weeds. To avoid receiving a letter from the office, please take control of weeds as soon as you see them. Pre-emergent is an excellent way to prevent weed growth, but it’s best applied before they begin sprouting. So, let’s all work together to keep our community clean and beautiful this Spring season.

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe time welcoming the 2024 new year. 

In December 2023, we had a great turnout for the Photos with Santa event at the community center. The management company did an excellent job with the decorations, making the event even more special. I also want to congratulate the winners of the Holiday Decorating Contest!

Our next event is the annual CRCA Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled for the end of March. We have lots of fun and exciting activities planned for the kids, so it’s an event you don’t want to miss. As always, we are looking for volunteers to help us make this event a success. Volunteering is a great way to give back to our community, so please reach out to the office and let them know if you can.

Please note that the board had approved the Windmill Spa to be open through December 2023 and hopefully, for the upcoming year we will be able to provide the same service; also, the splash pad will be opening on March 1st. The splash pad tank is being replaced this January with a cement tank, and we hope it will have a longer lifespan.  I hope everyone enjoys the pool season and warmer weather this upcoming year.

Finally, please be considerate of your neighbors when taking your beloved animals for walks. I have noticed dog owners not being responsible and leaving their dog waste to be picked up by neighbors. Please carry bags and pick them up after your furry friends. It is not your neighbor’s job to pick up your pet’s mess.

Dear Residents,

I hope you had a great summer and are looking forward to the cooler weather. Just a friendly reminder that although the Community Center pool closed after Labor Day, the Windmill Pool is still open and heated through the end of November.

The Board recently approved a proposal from Kappcon, Inc. to replace the splash pad’s underground surge tank, which will get done while the Windmill Pool is closed this January through February. The current plastic tank that cracked earlier this year will be replaced with a pre-cast concrete tank, which is now industry standard and expected to last for years to come.

In case you missed it, the Annual Meeting took place in October, where four members were elected to the Board. Long-time Board member, Bill Dawes, decided not to run this year, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for volunteering his time over the past 10-plus years to this community.
