Maps on the Association Website

There are no maps on the community association website. I just moved to Tucson and to Continental Ranch and have heard rumors that there are pools and a community center for residents, but there are no maps on the website.   Perhaps the webmaster could add a clickable link for each of the physical resources and have a picture of the place, a map, and an address.  Also, perhaps a master continental ranch map that shows each of the unique places available to residents, important landmarks, etc. that a user could zoom in on or move around in to take a visual look at one’s new community.   Thank you.

Dog Thefts in Cont Ranch!

Recently, dogs have been stolen from homes in Continental Ranch. Apparently, they are being stolen and used as a bait for fighting dogs. They put our pets in a cage with a dog being trained for dog fighting so that dog can learn how to fight before being put in the cage with another fighting dog.

 Our pets are being stolen during all hours of the day, so please stay alert to people or vehicles in your neighborhoods who do not belong there. Two dogs from my neighborhood have been stolen this week.

 Report any suspicious activity to the Marana PD.

An Ounce of Prevention

I heard of a CR Home Owner experiancing a flooded home because of a burst pipe caused by a faulty Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV).

My pressure was a dangeroulsy high 90 psi. After replacing the PRV and the mainshut-off valve (which was also defective) all is well.

The normal pressure regulated by the PRV in the home is about 60 psi. Becasue of the age of the homes and mineral content in the water, it could lead to a failure of the valve.  It may be a good idea to also have yours checked especially if you notice appliances making funny noises when using water.

Format for comments on suggestions

Formatting the Suggestion Box so that comments/replies could be added to each suggestion (similar to facebook/myspace/etc) would allow ongoing opinions/clarifications/specifics and perhaps ease the job of committees who then work from suggestions received.

Street Cleaner

What happened to the street cleaner? I used to see it once or twice a year. With all the money spent on landscaping, monuments, etc. it does not seem right to drive down streets covered with broken glass, trash, etc.

Take a look at Coachline between Silverbell and Twin Peaks. This does not give the impression that the people of Continental Ranch take any pride in their neighborhood.

Elminate Unwanted Explorer News Delivery

The delivery of Explorer News on Wednesdays to every household, including those that do not wish to receive them and to vacant houses, results in an unsightly array of unwanted Explorers littering our neighborhoods weekly.  Numerous unwanted Explorers remain in driveways, yards, and in the street for weeks. I’m suggesting that the Community Association adopt a change in agreement with the Explorer delivery to make it a subscription only service, or deliver only upon request.   We do notice that they are not delivered in Sunflower to every household. This change would significantly decrease the amount of litter in Continental Ranch and improve the appearance of our neighborhoods.

Ramadas

I would love to see covered ramadas throughout our community with solar lighting. If there is an area open in Parcel 3 I would be thrilled.
