Presidents Message March/April 2025

Hello everyone,

The Windmill pool, spa, and splash pad will open to all residents on March 1st. I hope everyone enjoys the pool season and the warmer weather. Please remember to follow all rules and listen to the pool monitors when asked to comply!

Join us for our 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Event on April 12th, from 10 AM to 1 PM! This event offers activities for residents of all ages, ensuring a fun experience for everyone. Please note that events for different age groups will start at various times, so be sure to check with the office for specific schedules.

If you’re interested in volunteering, we would love to have your help! Please reach out to the office, as we always welcome additional support for this important event—Continental Ranch’s biggest celebration of the year. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

As spring arrives, weeds start to reappear. It’s important to address any weeds promptly to avoid receiving a notice from the office.

I’ve received several complaints about dog owners not cleaning up after their pets. This issue affects the entire Continental Ranch community, not just one specific area. I ask that you be considerate of your neighbors and take responsibility for your dog. Please make it a habit to pick up after your pet to help keep our community clean and safe. Thank you for your cooperation.

Wishing all Continental Ranch residents a bright, warm, and beautiful spring!

Presidents Message January/February 2025

Happy New Year, everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful and safe time welcoming in 2025. In December 2024, we had an excellent turnout for the Photos with Santa event at the community center. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Brad and Darla Fribbs for volunteering their time for this event, which they have been doing since 2020. The management company also did a fantastic job with the decorations, making the event even more special.

Congratulations to the winners of the Holiday Decorating Contest! Our next event is the annual CRCA Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled for the end of March. We have many fun and exciting activities planned for the kids, so this is an event you won’t want to miss. As always, we are looking for volunteers to help us make this event a success. Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to our community, so please contact the office if you can help.

As spring approaches, it’s important to manage weeds as soon as they appear to avoid receiving a notice from the office. Applying a pre-emergent treatment is an effective strategy, but it works best when applied before the weeds start to sprout.

Additionally, please be considerate of your neighbors when walking your pets. I’ve noticed that some dog owners are not being responsible and are leaving their pet’s waste for others to handle. Please remember to carry bags and clean up after your furry friends. It is not your neighbor’s responsibility to pick up after your pet. Thank you for your cooperation!

Wishing you all a safe and happy New Year!

Always,

Presidents Message November/December 2024

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a great summer and are looking forward to the cooler weather, although we haven’t completely cooled down yet.

Thank you to all who attended this year’s Continental Ranch Community Associations Annual Meeting held at Coyote Trail Elementary School and voted for this year’s director positions.

November means homeowner assessments are due, supporting the homeowner association’s operation. We understand that some people may have financial difficulties. If homeowner assessments go unpaid for a full year, they are turned over for collections, and at that point, it is out of our hands. We try to avoid this and will accept a payment plan to help those homeowners stay current. Please, if you are having financial difficulties, contact the office to make arrangements so we do not have to send it to collections.

It was great to see so many people using the pools this year, but unfortunately, they have now closed for the season.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars and come get your picture taken with Santa. Check inside the newsletter for more details. We hope to see you all there.

Wishing everyone happy and safe holidays.

Thank you to all the homes participating and thank you to the judges for taking time out of your busy schedules to volunteer.

Presidents Message September/October 2024

Dear Residents,

I hope everyone had a great summer and is looking forward to the cooler weather ahead.

Many residents have noticed the high number of times the pools have been closed for human contamination. Please do your part to prevent human contamination from taking these amenities away from other community members (refer to pool rule #12). The emergency pool service to sanitize the pool is also an additional cost to the Association, which then requires 36-48 hours of closure.  Also, as a reminder, the Community Center pool closes on September 3rd, and the Windmill Park pool will close on November 1st.

It’s time for the Annual Election, and four candidates are running for four open seats. I encourage you to attend the Meet the Candidates meeting on September 17, 2024, at 5:00 PM in the Community Center. It’s crucial to cast your vote to meet the quorum. Please review your packets in October and mail or drop off your absentee ballots at the office. In-person voting will take place during the Annual Meeting at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria of Coyote Trail Elementary School on October 22, 2024.

As October approaches, we have several community events planned:

  • Community Yard Sale: October 12th from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Halloween Decorating Contest: October 17th (Judges needed – contact the office if interested)
  • Waste Management Bulk Pickup: October 19th – Items should be place outside by 6:00 AM
  • Annual Meeting: October 22nd at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria of Coyote Trail Elementary School
  • Waste Management Dumpster Event: October 25th and 26th at the west parking lot of Windmill Park

Lastly, please remember to be considerate when walking your pets by cleaning up after them. Neighbors continue to leave their pets’ droppings on the sidewalk, which can be unpleasant for others. Let’s all contribute to keeping our yards and sidewalks clean and safe.

Looking forward to seeing you participate and attend the upcoming events!
