Presidents Message September/October 2024

Dear Residents,

I hope everyone had a great summer and is looking forward to the cooler weather ahead.

Many residents have noticed the high number of times the pools have been closed for human contamination. Please do your part to prevent human contamination from taking these amenities away from other community members (refer to pool rule #12). The emergency pool service to sanitize the pool is also an additional cost to the Association, which then requires 36-48 hours of closure.  Also, as a reminder, the Community Center pool closes on September 3rd, and the Windmill Park pool will close on November 1st.

It’s time for the Annual Election, and four candidates are running for four open seats. I encourage you to attend the Meet the Candidates meeting on September 17, 2024, at 5:00 PM in the Community Center. It’s crucial to cast your vote to meet the quorum. Please review your packets in October and mail or drop off your absentee ballots at the office. In-person voting will take place during the Annual Meeting at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria of Coyote Trail Elementary School on October 22, 2024.

As October approaches, we have several community events planned:

  • Community Yard Sale: October 12th from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Halloween Decorating Contest: October 17th (Judges needed – contact the office if interested)
  • Waste Management Bulk Pickup: October 19th – Items should be place outside by 6:00 AM
  • Annual Meeting: October 22nd at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria of Coyote Trail Elementary School
  • Waste Management Dumpster Event: October 25th and 26th at the west parking lot of Windmill Park

Lastly, please remember to be considerate when walking your pets by cleaning up after them. Neighbors continue to leave their pets’ droppings on the sidewalk, which can be unpleasant for others. Let’s all contribute to keeping our yards and sidewalks clean and safe.

Looking forward to seeing you participate and attend the upcoming events!

Presidents Message July/August 2024

First and foremost, we are sad to see Ashley moving on. Ashley has been a real asset to this community in how it was managed and will be missed. However, we are glad to see her grow and wish her the best!

It’s time to celebrate as the Fourth of July has arrived! Let’s show gratitude for this great nation’s Independence Day and give thanks to the men and women who sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we sometimes take for granted. Let’s also be thankful for living in this wonderful country.  I’m excited for the upcoming Fourth of July festivities! Check your local listing for any fireworks shows Marana and Tucson will be hosting and be safe!

Please take care of your pets during fireworks celebrations. If you find a lost pet, please get in touch with Marana Animal Control.

With the record heat we have been having it’s nice to see the swimming pools being used. There have been a large number of kids using the pool now that they are out of school. Please remember to obey the pool rules. Many residents have noticed the unusually high number of times the pools have been closed for human contamination so far this summer. It should go without saying, but please do your part to prevent human contamination from taking these amenities away from other community members (refer to pool rule #12). The emergency pool service to sanitize the pool is also an additional cost to the Association, which then requires 48-36 hours of closure.

Again, as a reminder: when walking your pets, please be mindful of others by cleaning up after them. Neighbors continue to leave their pet’s droppings on the sidewalk, which is unpleasant for everyone. Let’s all contribute to keeping our yards and sidewalks clean and safe.

Thank you, Peg Bracken

Presidents Message May/June 2024

We had a great turnout at our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, and it was heartening to see so many families enjoying the beautiful, albeit windy, day. We would like to extend our gratitude to Valaree Cavazos, our newest management team member, for organizing the event. This was a team effort, and we want to thank our entire management team and all the homeowners who participated in setting up and taking everything down. Without everyone’s contribution, we could not have made this event possible. A big thank you to AAA Landscape for the immense help they provided, as well as Boy Scouts Troop 219.

Construction for the splash pad tank replacement at Windmill pool has been finished, and the community center pool is scheduled to open May 17th, which is an exciting time for everyone as the summer officially kicks off in Continental Ranch. It is also important to keep in mind that our semi-annual assessments are due May 1st. Please ensure that you are up to date with your payments to avoid any delinquency status. If you are having difficulty making your payments, please do not hesitate to let the management office know so that we can work together to find a possible solution. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I continue to receive numerous complaints from homeowners about dog owners not being responsible for picking up after their pets. This is not limited to just one area of Continental Ranch, but throughout our community. Please be considerate of your neighbors and don’t wait for the poop fairy to appear. It is your responsibility to pick up after your pet and keep our community clean and safe.

Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining our beautiful community.

Sincerely, Peg Bracken

Presidents Message March/April 2024

Dear Residents,

I am happy to announce that the Windmill Park pool opened on March 1st! I hope you all have a great pool season and enjoy the warmer weather.

The splash pad tank replacement project began over the winter, with the new pre-cast concrete tank going into production on November 27. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our control, there have been a few delays. We appreciate your patience as we do all we can to get this project completed. Meanwhile, we look forward to seeing you enjoy the pool and spa!

On March 30th, we have the Easter Egg Hunt event, a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together and have fun. We encourage everyone to volunteer and help as it takes many people to make it a success, especially setting up the event the day before. If you have some free time, please call the office and offer your services. Also, be sure to get wristbands for the kids before the event to avoid waiting in line. This event promotes unity within our community and includes activities for residents of all ages.

Spring is a beautiful season that brings us lovely flowers and pleasant weather. However, it also comes with an unwelcome guest: weeds. To avoid receiving a letter from the office, please take control of weeds as soon as you see them. Pre-emergent is an excellent way to prevent weed growth, but it’s best applied before they begin sprouting. So, let’s all work together to keep our community clean and beautiful this Spring season.

Best wishes to all Continental Ranch residents!
