Egg Hunt 2011!

April’s Egg Hunt Fun in CRCA!

This year’s Egg Hunt event was a blast! Over 500 CRCA residents came out to enjoy the festivities. Luckily, many volunteers stepped forward and their helping hands allowed for the event to go off without a hitch!

Of course the premier event of the function was the Egg Hunt!  The hunt was split into age categories and produced scores of smiling faces.  This year the Activities Committee was well prepared so that all participants from the egg hunt walked away happy.  Easter baskets were raffled off to lucky boys & girls from each age group.

To supplement the Egg Hunt, the Activities Committee rented a jumping castle for the kids to bounce around in.  This was quite a hit!  Uncle Willie was on the scene making balloon art for the kids, while the Lady Shriners did face painting.  Of course the event would not have been complete without the Easter Bunny, who roamed the crowd and took pictures with the kids and their parents.  Kids also competed in the egg race while some participated in arts-n-crafts “make & take” fun.

Another new addition to the event was the food vendors who came to the rescue of many hungry tummies. Food and drink was supplied by Bubby’s Chicago Style, a local CRCA restaurant who boasts about their Italian beef, franks, and burgers.  Hungry Howie’s also joined the fun with their unique style pizzas and subs.  Rock n’ Java supplied coffee and Vision Church brought live music entertainment.

For events like this in the future, participation from volunteer residents is always needed for them to succeed. If you have time in your schedule to help our community – please sign up as a volunteer at the office.
